£1000 towards energy effeciency

The UK government will be offering £1000 to people buying a new home, however this has to be spent on energy efficiency products. They will also get £50 off their fuel expenses under a green tax deal formed by the collation.

The amount is approximately 50% of the stamp duty on the average new build home. Also private home owners will also be given good incentives to make their homes and properties more energy efficient. It’s a drive to bring down the use of carbon emissions.

If there are any extra costs, the UK coalition plans to recover any extra expenditure on this scheme from tax avoidance. More information on how exactly this will work will be set out by the Chancellor.
